While living with his father in Haran, Abram received a message from the Lord calling him to separate himself from his old associations and go to a new country. He was promised divine favor, a great posterity, and the blessing of his obedience on all families of the earth. He obeyed the call and became the leader of all pilgrims who seek a city whose builder and maker is God. One of the most difficult questions to answer in Christian work is, “What do you expect to do?” You don’t know what you are going to do. The only thing you know is that God knows what He is doing.
