Although Jesus had healed blind persons on other occasions:
- Mt 9:27-31 - the healing of two blind men by a touch on their's eyes;
- Mt 12:22 - Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him so that he could both talk and see.;
- Mt 15:30 - A vast crowd brought to him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn’t speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and he healed them all.
- Mt 21:14 - The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them.
